About Keoni
Keoni with his family after competing in the
Ironman World Championship.
Volunteering with Africa Impact  as a medical assistant.
Keoni is 20 years old, born and raised in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.  He has a brother, sister, mother and father that all love him dearly.  Keoni Graduated from High School in 2013 and went off to community college to pursue a career as a paramedic.  While attending college, Keoni also participated in triathlons and at the age of 18, found himself competing in the Ironman World Championship.  This was a dream come true for Keoni.   Not really knowing what his next challenge might be, Keoni found himself listening to a podcast of a young man whom had walked across America. Keoni quickly found himself relating to his story.  Not knowing what his true purpose in life was, which career path he truly wanted to pursue, or even if he wanted to continue to live in Hawaii... Keoni became excited about the possibility of meeting a similar life changing challenge.  With every book Keoni read on the topic, his desire to walk became stronger and stronger.  He made the commitment, set a date, started working hard and saved every penny he had earned.  Keoni set out on his 2,900 mile journey on April 12, 2015.  He put his feet in the water at Point Pleasant Beach, NJ and plans to finish his walk approximately 6 months later in Dana Point, CA.

One of Keoni’s passions is to give back, he feels he has lived a privileged life and knows first hand that there is a great need in our world.  When Keoni was 12, he volunteered in Livingstone, Zambia, with an organization called African Impact… after two weeks of assisting kids with their school work, participating in community outreach projects and building mud huts, Keoni found a strong desire to return. Leading up to “The Walk” Keoni had an opportunity to visit Africa for six weeks volunteering as a medical assistant…. This trip was a life changing event.  After “The Walk” Keoni hopes to return to Africa.

If you choose to make a purchase… you will not only be helping Keoni with shelter, food and supplies... you will also help him return to Africa.  Keoni has a strong desire to pick up where he left off. This is his way to pay it forward and say thank you to all the amazing people who have supported him.
